Nice pics!! We're planning on hitting a game soon. Looks like a good time! Oh, and can ANYONE tell me why the mascot is named Pinch but is not a crab? I mean, what exactly is he supposed to be?

I bowl overhand
Haven't been to a Blue Crabs game, but the kids REALLY enjoy the Bowie Baysox game. Oriole games are fun, but the minor league games for a family are AWEsome

Nice pictures! We went for the first time last night, and it was really neat. The boy is too young to sit still (15 mos :baby:); we were lucky to make it into the 7th inning. Just before we left, one of the players tossed us a foul ball for the boy. :yay: And in the parking lot, we found another ball (I guess from one of the fouls that went over the stadium).

Decent beer selection too. :alkies:

I can't wait to go again. Nice that it is 10 mins from the house. I guess there is one good thing to living in gang-ridden Charles county.

I love minor league baseball - it's more like a fun party than having to pay a zillion $$$ to go to a pro game. You can root for you home team and they're normal people, not these MLB prima donnas.

Bull Durham, anyone?

Oh my! :hot:

:yeahthat:.........except for one thing. They need to get those teenagers and the mascot off of the dugout WHILE THE GAME IS BEING PLAYED. You are way too close to the action to not pay attention 100% of the time. Went there just before their all-star break and an older lady behind the 1st base dugout got absolutely TATTOED by a foul ball. I was sitting down the left field line and that ball hit her so hard we could hear the splat! And the ball bounced off of her face so high that they caught it in the roof boxes.

Sorry Cablechick. I'm off the soapbox long enough to say those are great pix

Im glad you enjoyed the game, OHG and most of my family have been to about a dozen games now, was at the Friday night game and grandaughter was picked for the Cow races also. We usually sit right behind the dugouts and you are very close to the field, you really have to keep a eye on the game. In fact Thursday night at the game, right after the National Anthem, several players on the other team expressed there concern to us and another family nearby (we had our 2 1/2 yr. old grandson with us) about the the foul balls, I told him I was quite aware, and Im constantly telling them to keep an eye on the game.
Its a great little staduim, and every seat in there down both sidelines is really close to the field and you have to be ready for line shots of the bats. Thursday a guy down the third base side got nailed on the upper arm he was a big guy and later on he was in the EMS room being attended too.
A Blue Crab game is a great family entertainment.:yay:

I was a bit apprehensive about being in the 2nd row right near the 3rd base line. I thought great, we're going to get crushed by a ball today. Thankfully nothing really came our way.

From behind homeplate you can see all the field, from seats behind the dugouts you cant see into the corners of whatever side your sitting on, which is kind of a bummer, they should have angled the last 3 sections or so a little bit back from the field, so your view would not be obstructed, but if thats not a big problem for you any seat from about section 6 around to section 21 arent bad at all, and every seat is pretty darn close to the field from foul line to foul line and you should keep an eye on the game, for any rocket foul balls into the stands.

What is nice about the staduim when they do have the concerts that are being planned for there, as long as you arent on the lawn seats in rightfield and the pavillion in leftfield any seat you have from section 1 to 25 will be great, with the stage being at second base you will be alot closer then proably 75% of the seats at Nissan Pavillion.

:eyebrow: You weren't there last Saturday in section 22 were you? :eyebrow:

My sister and her husband are a host family for The Blue Crabs. Right now Eric Crozier #40, left field, lives in the guest room in her basement. Nice guy. Played for The Cleveland Indians, The Boston Red Sox and The Toronto Blue Jays before he was injured.

According to Eric, these guys make so little money that living hotels or apartments breaks them so some choose to live with host families.

The games are fun. Beware of section 1 though. The night we sat there the foul balls were flying in like missiles. And they hurt!
