You are lucky he only eats boxes. It's been my experience that an American Bulldog will eat anything - ANYTHING - rocks - trees - tires - weedeaters - - socks - pillows ANYTHING

They really do have an eating problem in general and need to have supervised feedings - otherwise they will eat until they are sick and then start eating all over again.

Because it's fun to him! Kids love to tear paper....dogs like to tear paper/cardboard, too. If it's a problem, supervise him better. Crate him when you can't watch him. Make sure he has plenty of toys to play with.

:lmao: I read it the same way!!!

Our boxer destroys boxes if we let him...it has never harmed him but the mess is terrible. And you cannot vaccuum up soggy, wet cardboard...each piece must be hand picked up!!!

We found it was a boredom thing...so we just make sure he has things he is allowed to chew on or he gets nothing at all. Every once in a while he still gets a hold of something (like the baby's toys) and chews them up but at 3 years old he seems to be slowly calming down!!!
