My Babies Are Here. . .

Well, after a good attempt to keep them baking as long as possible - Thanksgiving Day gave me 2 more reasons to be thankful! Baby A and Baby B were born at 10:48 and 10:49 PM via emergency c-section at one day shy of 29 weeks.

Both were just ounces shy of being 3 pounds each and are doing well for their gestational age. They were airlifted to Children's Hospital shortly after birth and are receiving the absolute best medical attention I've ever seen.

I can honestly say that being in one hospital and having my babies in another, after only getting to see them for about 3 minutes before flight, is the hardest thing I've ever had to do as a parent. The next would be being home and trying to keep a sense of normalcy for the daughter at home, all while trying to be downtown bonding with my boys being the next.

Thank you to everyone who has left pm's inquiring about my status. Things are really really hard right now - but I have 2 fighters, and by that they're making their momma proud.

They are at the best place possible and you got the shots prior for lung development so that is a huge plus. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers and maybe in a few weeks once they are stable, they will allow them to be moved closer. Congratulations :huggy: Next year, they will have a big birthday cake right after they smeared mashed potatoes everywhere.

28 years ago I became the Aunt to 2 beautiful girls born less than 3 lbs each and today they are normal young women with 6 children between them including an additonal set of twins (sil had another set after them) keep hope medical science has changed so much over the years and all will be fine.
Take a deep breathe and one day at a time its the only way to get through the trying times.
Good Luck you have a lot of friends praying for you!:yahoo:
