My baby's only 14 lbs & swing stopped working :~(

It was given to me & claims it works for kids up to 25 lbs. However, even w/ brand new batteries, it stops swinging (even on the highest setting) after one or two minutes. It sucks b/c she LOVES that thing. I researched the plug-in type but reviews say that the same thing happens. Does anyone have Graco Lovin' Hugs swing or a glider that they can tell me about (I've heard they're good)? Or any advice on any other good swing?

Sorry - never had much luck with swings.
Had two and had the same problem with both of them.

Do they even still make the wind up ones? My kiddo lived in hers and we never had a problem

Had the same problem only my kid outgrew his swing around 18 lbs....I recommend the local playground. Or you could get a toddler swing for the deck or a safe doorway. We just go to the playground now - sometimes twice a day. My daughter runs and plays while my son swings, swings, swings...

I had the fisher price rainforest one. It worked great! Never had a issue with it. It was a plug in one too! I used it for my two kids and my friends kids too.

I have a Graco Lovin' Hugs swing and my daughter is about 17lbs and it works fine. We don't use it every day but on average about once a week for a nap as a last resort. Haven't had any problems from it.
