how do I stop her?
:killingme

So I have a new lil one..who had to be locked away in the bathroom while I was treating him for ear mites :( now I let him out to have supervised play with my 10 month old female cat mau-mau. She..since the moment I got her has been evil to the core. I still have scars on my hands because i made the mistake of playing with her without a toy...when he comes out they sniff for a minute..then of course he being a kitten jumps on her head...so she wraps her paws around his neck and begins to disembowel him with her back feet. I am inclined to let animals work things out..i think they generally do all on their own..but hes so tiny..but when i put my hand down..there are no claws out..shes just kinda holdin him..and he keep sgoin back for more..so i dont think she is actually hurting him... any ideas to keep them from driving me nuts? Im not really worried so much about him anymore..because if she wanted to kill him she would have already...lol...but i dont want to leave them alone unsupervised just in case..but i would like him to have the run of the house like she does....

Rabbit kicks. That is how Friday taught Bubba to "fight". They do it all the time.

It's so funny when Fry and Nacho wrap themselves around each other and basically play the drums on the other's head. Just the other night I thought I heard them playing with a pair of shoes I'd left out, and they've torn them up before, but it turned out they were just bodyslamming each other

Really though, if you're uncomfortable leaving them alone together, then keep them separated until the little guy is a little bit older. They're going to hurt each other a little bit every now and then, but hardly anything serious. They're like little kids, they're gonna get some owies. How old is the kitten, and how big is your resident kitty?

Oh, no way! Do Friday and Bubba? Closest they get to that is inspecting the shower when I get out of it, or Nacho sleeping in the bathroom sink.

And do they follow you to the bathroom and paw at the door if you didn't let them in?

My Fry will run in as soon as I open the door and watch the toilet flush if he's not passed out somewhere. Cats certainly are weird. The things they find entertaining...

When I first came into their lives, SO had named the cat, a year old kitten then, Kitty. Just Kitty. I came along and saw how she handled herself against a pitbull and renamed her Big Kitty.... it's now on her tag. However my son and I talk to her, we say "hi mau-mau" or "come in mau-mau" and she'll gladly reply with a big MAAAUUU!?
