used the cats litter box. I have never seen a dog do that before. He is such a cute little dog. Has anyone heard of that before?

I've never seen a dog actually use a litter box, but I know it is a very common method owners use to house break little dogs. First time I heard about it, I didn't know what to think...:eyebrow:

Yep! It's common in smaller dogs. They can't hold their bladder as long as bigger doggies, so it is easier for them to use a litter box, especially during the puppy stages.

I have an Itallian Greyhound (IG). A lot of IGs are litter box trained and use a litter box exclusively. Our IG goes outside because we didn't want a litterbox in the house and we have structured our schedules not to be gone more than 5-6 hours from the house. They even make a doggie litter.

Haha. A friend of mine left her husky mix (big dog) alone for a couple of hours and I guess during this time he had to go. She came home and found a large log in the kitty litter box next to the door.
