My 10 month old English Bulldog needs a new home. :frown: I'm not home enough to give him the attention that he needs. Up to date on all shots, no medical problems. Very playful and energetic. Needs supervision due to a chewing problem. :bawl: Great with children and other dogs. House trained. He came from russia and I have all papers including pictures of both parents. He is microchiped. Comes with Crate, two gates (one about 3ft in width and they other about 2ft) lots of toys, special shampoo, leashes and lots of other extras. I posted this in the classifieds too but I know there are more dog lovers here. Please PM if you are interested

Correct me if I am wrong, but all puppies have a chewing problem for about a year or so. At least that has been my experience.

Some moreso, just ask PT.

It has been soooo long since I have had a puppy...my baby is almost 12 now! I think most of them stop around 6-8 mos. though..when all their little shark teeth fall out...those things are razors!

But some just like chewing to chew. My weimeraner will chew whatever he can find and he is 7 years old. He has chewed 2 soup cans into pieces..I don't know how he didn't cut his mouth up but he had no cuts or anything. He has a fetish for these things so now I have to take them out to the trash can outside immediately or he will dig in the house to get them....should have named him Shredder :yay:

He has every toy imaginable but finds it necessary to eat the trim off of the walls and chew the phone jacks out of the walls. He has also destroyed a kitchen cabinet. I've had lots of dogs and this one has a "chewing problem." It's heart breaking to get rid of him but we rent our house and can't let it be destroyed. We are fixing things as he eats them and can't afford to keep it up.

He's not crate trained?

I've tried numerous different sized crates....he gets claustrophic (sp?) and messes all over the place.
Not sure what to tell you. You have to get them used to it gradually and certainly it is better if you do it when they are babies. I did that with Biscuit (my Boxer) and never had an issue and he started sleeping on my bed when he was about 9 months old and on his first birthday I started leaving him out of the crate for 2-3 hours for a week or two. He did fine so he's completely out of the crate now and has been for some time. He is very well behaved.

My little Abbey girl is good in her crate. We had a few issues when we first got her but I think it was because she was an older puppy and her schedule was upset. She does fine now and is happy to go to her crate when told. She is very mischevious and I think she will not graduate so quickly.
