I've got 4 cats, all of which I love. 1 female and 3 males, aging from 12 weeks to 4 years, the female and 2 of the males are "fixed". The youngest is 12 weeks and for some reason here in Florida, I can't find anyone that will neuter the male until he is 16 weeks old which is not a big deal since they are all indoor cats. But as soon as he turns 16 weeks old, "SNIP".
Anyway, the problem I have is that the two older neutered males are close, not related in any way and separated by about 2 years. They are together all the time. One has short hair the other has long hair, they groom each other but the short hair gets hair balls and about every other week coughs them up. He's the only one that does this so I am assuming that it's becasue he is grooming the long hair. My question is this normal?
