My dilemma

I genuinely like Trump. I get him. He makes sense to me and I appreciate his unscripted delivery. I'm a big fan of candor, and if nothing else Trump is definitely candid.

My problem is that he's a Republican, and I don't want to reward those nozzles with my vote. I understand that my piddling little existence doesn't mean a hill of crap to them, but it's my own principles and sense of right and wrong. I don't want to cast a vote for any Republican. I want to punish them for their stupidity and for betraying their voters. I want it to hurt, even if I'm the only one who knows I struck a blow at them.

I'm tempted to vote for Gary Johnson, but I don't like him. I think he's a stoner idiot and his "party" might as well disband and go find a rave somewhere for all the good they're doing at promoting their dumb candidate. I want to be a Libertarian, and I want to like Libertarian candidates, but they come across as folks more at home cosplaying at Burning Man than doing something as serious as governing.

And of course I'm absolutely NOT going to vote for that disgusting corrupt evil sow Hillary Clinton. I hate that woman more than I have words for and if she stroked out on national TV and died gasping in a pool of her own vomit, I would throw the biggest party you've ever seen.

So now what?

I'll probably vote for Trump anyway, because he is genuinely my choice. It's just the stupid Republicans I hate, not him. I wish he'd go third party.

You still don't make any sense. Despite all your rantings, ravings and holier than thou media protestations, you don't seem to have any clue about the realities of an election or national politics. Your choices are not binary. The popular vote is irrelevant. In MD, your actual choice is irrelevant.

Mr. Trump is not a Republican. He is the Republican nominee, but his is most definitely not a Republican. Many Republicans refuse to endorse Mr. Trump. Major Republican donors are not contributing to his campaign. The end result is that Republicans are not likely to work with Mr. Trump should he win. Actual Republicans will be chomping at the bit to run against an incumbent President Trump in 2020.

You don't like Ms. Clinton. That seems to be the only position you have held true to. (I can see why you like Trump...he can't hold a position either.) So here's the basic formula that you don't really seem to grasp. As a Maryland resident, it does not matter who you vote for. Ms. Clinton will carry MD and she will likely carry it by a huuuuge margin---given the idiocy of the Trump campaign. Ms. Clinton is going to win MD.

So do as Mr. Cruz advised. Vote your conscious. It truly won't matter.

You don't like Ms. Clinton...fine. Mr Trump is a buffoon with zero qualifications for the position he seeks. You don't like Mr. Johnson.

Then write someone in. The equation you have yourself all in a bunch over really isn't all that difficult. Lousy choice + irrelevance of the individual vote = a write in vote.

Funny how you label Johnson as a "stoner idiot" when between the 3 he is the only one that holds himself with class and dignity in interviews and or speeches.

More every day I am coming to believe that Trump and Hillary made a deal long before the Primary';s where he would kill off any candidate who might beat her and then hand her the election by doing exactly what he is doing now. Making a fool of Republicans.

I have belittled and thrown sh1t at the Republicans who would not endorse Trump, but now I am not so sure they are not right.

What I would like to see is those who stand against Trump get behind Johnson and make a great noise and spend some money endorsing him.
Perhap with Luck Johnson could win.
Now don't get me wrong I am not for Johnson. I am against Hillary and I hate the thought what Trump has made of this election.
I say that any Republican with a set of ball could have beaten Hillary. Problem is finding one.
If I have to I will vote for Trump, but my heart is not in it. I believe he has ####ed us from the first.

We must stop Hillary or the Supreme Court will be destroyed for the next 40 years.

If it's any consolation, the Repulican leadership doesn't seem to like him. So a vote for Trump would in actuality be a vote against the R's.
I have a feeling that a lot of the R votes for Trump are going to be spite votes against the entrenched R leaders, and a lot of the D votes for him are going to be votes against Hill.

This explains me in a nutshell. If the Rs can't find anyone better than the freakshow they offered, then #### it. I give up.

I hope Johnson gets enough campaign funds to make himself more visible. At this point in time, I could stand behind him at a burger joint, and not recognize him.

This election cycle is so exhausting, stressful, and worrisome. I can't think about it, anymore. I am moving and that is stressful enough. I know who I will vote for. Done. I don't think Trump is in it for Hillary. I don't think Johnson can make a difference. I do think Americans are trying to take their country back from their very own politicians that are in it for themselves. Go, Trump, and God bless America. :patriot:One more thing: Trump would not be spending his own money to campaign on behalf of Hillary. JMO.

Trump is an American worried about what is happening. He has a cushy life, so why should he care? Really. It is a shake up big time, and we shall see what happens. I am not hoping for the best because there are so many ignorant people living in America that have no clue. And, I don't think Trump is in the tank for Hillary.

Someone posted today that it doesn't matter how Marylanders vote, but it does matter. If enough pissed off people vote, it will change things. Hogan was elected.

Okay, so here is where I am confused-please explain to me why you genuinely like Trump; I've tried to find something redeeming in Trump, but end up with a horrible headache in the process..help me Vrai, help me.

#1, I like his candor. We need to export the illegals and he's the only one who has the nads to say so. But now the powers that be are making him back off, which is bull####.

He calls ugly women ugly. And they are, so I appreciate the honesty. (Not ugly physically, but ugly in their demeanor. Because I totally get it and agree.)

He calls raping drug dealing #### head illegals what they are, and I appreciate that.

He says what I say - like it or not - and it's what it is. If people are lying scumbags (Ted Cruz) or corrupt scumbags (Hillary Clinton) - he says so.

I like it.

If you think Trump is some horrible racist misogynist whatever, that's on you. He tells it like it is, whether you like it or not. I appreciate his honesty and candor.

Hey, Lily! :huggy: How about this explanation. I don't think vrai really likes Trump as a personality, just as I don't. But, he has caused an explosion of controversy because he dares to buck the system. Cruz, Rubio, etal would have been the same ole same ole with exception to Dr. Carson and Gov. Huckabee, but they didn't win. I think of Trump as a maverick; bucking and trying to stomp on the status quo. America cannot survive under the conditions we are living in, or let the Clintons back in the WH. The fact that Trump has hobnobbed with these politicians gives us a clue as to why he is running for prez. He has got the skinny; so to speak. If Hillary is elected, we are so doomed. What are your suggestions on what we should do?

But I do. I think that if I knew him in person, I'd admire the chit out of him. I admire him and he's just some guy on the TV.

As I said, I admire candor and honesty. I like people who tell it like it is. Straight, no sugar. I like people who get it done, and Trump has definitely gotten it done.

I genuinely like Trump.

I do, too, for what he is trying to do to save America; even though some are saying he is in the tank for Hillary. I don't believe that. But, he really needs to reign it in a bit to win; so to speak. As far as candor and honesty, I do that, too. I get it.
