My Fitness Pal

A buddy turned me on to myfitnesspal.com which I have been using for the last 30 days and which has helped me lose 12 pounds so far. I'm pretty much addicted to the program and really believe that it's the reason that I've been successful.
Cool program that allows you to log in your current info and goals. It'll calculate your BMI and BMR for you and then based on your goals and exercise plans it'll tell you what your daily calorie intake should be.
Then, you log in your food intake and whatever exercises you have done for the day and it'll keep track of how many more calories you have left for the day.
Not a real good explination, but certainly worth checking out if you're looking for weight loss motivation.
And a really cool feature is that of course it has a cell phone app that you can easily use when not at your desktop.

sounds cool. i need help dropping 10 lbs before my ride in april. its hard.

The thing about myfitnesspal is that if you use it correctly, it keeps you honest and makes you accountable to yourself.

Before using it I would workout, run, whatever and think that meant I could eat pretty much anything. This has been a real eye-opener for me to educate myself on my intake vs. expenditure of calories.

It's a tool, not a solution.
