Doesn't seem Christian
I was reading John 4 with some friends a couple of months ago. I'ts an amazing chapter and I feel like I could go on talking about it. One aspect stood out to me about Jesus talking to the Samaritan woman at the well. After their conversation it says that she left her water jar and went back to town to tell people about Jesus.
I was wondering about that and how we come to Jesus seeking stuff that we don't really need, ways to fill these "earthen vessels" and then when he fills us spiritually we forget what we were looking for in the temporal sense because filling this worldly jar doesn't matter as much.
Any thoughts?
