My Journey As a Combat Medic (From Desert Storm to Operation Enduring Freedom) by Patrick Thibeault

"Not your typical military style book. This book is about how the combat medic brings a sense of humanity and dignity to the battlefield. This book is not about fighting or wars or the celebration of death. This book ultimately is about the celebration of Life. A delightful memoir about being an Army Combat Medic. The author tells his experiences as a young, inexperienced medic who is thrusted in war as a teenager.

The author served with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment ( Airborne) during combat operations in Desert Storm who later on become the older, somewhat wiser, more seasoned combat medic serving with his Army National Guard unit , the 76th Infantry during Operation Enduring Freedom. The other writes about dealing with post traumatic stress disorder, the training it took to become a paratrooper and a flight medic and basic soldiering. The author takes the reader into his childhood having grown up as a "Army brat" around the world."
