My latest Vista experience.

I put it on a 2.2GHz dual core intel, with 4GB RAM.

It's still slow as bird crap, the damn dimmer effect everytime you click on a menu drives me friggin insane, and it's a step down as far as functionality goes from Windows XP. Much more difficult to use, and nothing user friendly about it.

My next computer's going to be a Mac. I'm hanging on to my Windows XP machines until they are absolutely unusable - but I won't build a new computer and put Vista on it.

My laptop is 1.8 GHz dual core AMD and It runs fast to me. I have 2 gigs of ram also.

It runs exceptionally fast on my 2 GHz x 2 AMD, 2 GB RAM as well. I've got no complaints about Vista whatsoever.

Does anyone know if they got the NVidia issues worked out?

I have an EVGA Nvida 590 SLI Motherboard, with a 2.4 Core 2 Duo processor, 4 Gigs or Ram (only running 2 gigs under XP) and a NVida 8800 GTS (640MB) video card, that i've been holding off on installing Vista on because of the earlier problems.
Yeah, you'll just have to go to the site and download the drivers. I'd reccomend doing so BEFORE upgrading.

It might actually download them on Vista's install (Vista goes and downloads updates during the install process).
