the vet did say sometimes because he been on baby aspin so long that he could have bleeding because of that....

I sure hope he doesn't take it every day. Aspirin is very toxic to cats. Even baby aspirin shouldn't be taken but one every 3 days and not the long term.

he was taking one every 3 days....He had been on it for almost 4yrs.. the vets i went to kept saying do what you are doing none of them ever told me my cat could be killed by it.

He had 2 good days of eating and today isn't so good. he will take a few licks then be done and i can hear his tummy growling bigtime too. I got him all brushed out and his fur is starting to look lots better. I am hoping he put on a little weight since the last time he was at the vet a week ago. I am also hoping that he doesn't have feline aids or lukiemia or hower you spell that word and tht he doesn't have cancer. He got up the last 2 days and came downstairs and ate a little both time. I today brought the heating pad downstairs instead of bringing him up and he seems happy now that he is on it. I have it put inbetween a thick towel. He also didn't have any shaking issues yesterday and he did have a little one this am when i brushed his hind legs but other than that he was fine. I don't plan to brush him again til tomorrow that is if I get to bring him home tonight. Mom and I discussed if he has either feline aids or lukemia we will be mostlikely putting him to sleep tonight so he doesn't have to suffer but we are both hoping for a positve outcome. sorry my spelling sucks i am living off of hardly any sleep. My health is going downhill now too a little this am i was standing up in the kitchen my legs started wobblign and i went down from standing straight up to the floor and my legs are still weak from it but I am going to try and take it easy and rest some today and hopefully get a good nights sleep tonight lastnight i got up with picasso 2x 1 time to see what he was doign downstairs andthe 2nd to feed him but he really didn't eat much maybe about 1tablespoon of food and that is all he has eaten so far today too :(.

you are making me so sad. I pray for nothing but a great outcome for kitty. Please be strong for him and give him lots of love and let us know what the vet says when you get back. what time is your appointment?

Good luck at the vet tonight. Please remember to do what is right for the cat, even if the decision may be hard for you. :huggy:

I got great news gang. Picasso is not out of the woods but the vet is happy with some of his numbers. His red bloodcell count went up 3% and he doesn't have feline lukemia or feline aids. We go back next tuesday for a recheck to see how things are going and she also gave me some stinky a$$ food to give him that he should hopefully eat thta will help him pack on some lbs.

They think maybe it could have been because he been on baby asprin for 3yrs 2x a week but we aren't sure hes not out of the woods yet. She said his heartrate was fast tonight though but she said it could be from him being off the baby asprin though she isn't sure and plus they drew blood on him again tonight. I think in another hour i am going to see if i can get him to eat more and i plan to bring him to bed with me tonight and put him right next to me and give him lots of hugs and kisses and tell him hes doing a good job at getting better for his mommy.

hopefully i will get a good nights sleep but not if he wakes me at 2am to be fed. Today wasn't a good day for me though...My knees went jello like earlier and I collapsed to the floor I know its from all the stress and lack of sleep. Hopefully tonight I will sleep good and get up not at 0dark30 but at like 7am and feed my baby give him his vitamin and antibiotic and will bring his heating pad downstairs and stick it under the dining room table incase he wants it and let him be downstairs for the day but I mostlikely will be down there a lot giving him lots of love and attention

I hope everything is well. I hope your Mom gives YOU a lot of hugs. You care a lot for your fur child and all pets would be lucky to be loved so much!
My vet recommended baby food when one of my fur kitties got sick. Surprizingly enough, he ate it and regained his appetite for cat food. He also ate cottage cheese while on antibiotics and it helped his upset stomach.
I read posts on another pet thread and it sickens me how mean and heartless some people can be. There is a definate difference between those of us that absolutely love our pets and those that would run over an animal in the road twice to vent their meaness. I have no regard for such creatures.

All of my animals are happy to have me as there mom. Picasso loves being in my lap and hes just such a sweet heart and so is pebbles but pebbles is a little moody and only wants attention/love on her terms but mind you she is going to be 13yrs old this year too.

He didn't eat much lastnight but today hes eating about 2 1/2 cans of cat food the vet put him on its to help him gain weight. He also has walked into the kitche to eat from under the dining room table where i put the towel with heatingpad in the middle of it for him. I am happy things are going good so far i hope next weeks vet apt goes good too.

he is doing ok today...hes been up a few times to eat and hes scarfing down his food hes had almost 2 cans of food today. The day is still young too. He spent a decent amount on the heating pad but he keeps forgetting where it is because he will lay in themiddle of the dining room shaking and I will have to bring him to it which is no biggy. He goes about 2hrs sometimes without eating but others its been between 30min and 1hr. I don't mind but I am very sleep deprived due to him getting me up some during the middle of the night due to him being really hungry and crying but you can barely hear his cry so i really have to pay attention for it. Hopefully each day will get better he goes back to the vet on tuesday for a checkup again to see if his rbc has gone back up again like it did once already I am hoping it did if it dropped agian the vet is thinking hes got bleeding somewhere since the feline aids and lukemia tests came back negative.
