My neibauer scam story, scam or good service..

visited neibauer dental in p/fredrick recently for a cleaning. The dentist saw shadowing under a filling on a back tooth. The shadowing i was told
"May be a cavity,were not sure". They recommended a crown, rite than and there, Even though it was not a confirmed cavity. The cost was $1800 and after ins, $750 out of pocked. Also "CROWN WEEK"was next week and that was $100 off. I opted for a 2nd opinion.

Went to a trusted dentist where i knew a worker there. The dentist there, took xrays and said, i see no shadowing or any issues at all. Even said if you did have shadowing that was a cavity under the filling, id remove and refill the tooth way before a crown. As it stands, my teeth are ok, no crown needed

neibauer in my eyes was trying to push me into the high dollar crown, and gave me no other options.

They even called me 2 days later and said, oh its "CROWN WEEK" here lets get you in and get that crown done..

Glad you were smart enough to get another opinion.

I went to them once in the process of finding a local dentist and really wasn't comfortable with the pushy feeling that I felt from the office. I figured it was just me and went on to the next dentist.

thats what they do!!! they tried to scam me once as well!!!

they are over priced as well!!

They did the same sort of thing to me, recommended three crowns, offered financing, said I should borrow money from relatives if need be, since if I didn't get them, the chances were good may entire lower face would collapse in on itself. Okay, I exaggerated that last part, but they did predict dire consequences should I fail to get the crowns in the next 30 days or so.

Not long after, found the nice folks at Prince Frederick Dental, who have managed to keep my jaw from falling off with regular cleanings alone. It's been I think five years, maybe? Niebuer can apply suction somewhere else........

The Waldorf office quoted me $20K for all the work I needed - and this was right after 2 years of adult braces which left me with perfectly aligned & healthy teeth. I almost laughed in the dentist's face. I will never, EVER go back there.

it seems to be a general opinion of them that there pushy and fake. Its amazing to me that there still open and opening more offices. Seems like to every persons smart decision theres, so many more people getting sold over on stuff thats not needed there.
