This is the new dog we got from the shelter. He is 67 lbs of pure sweetness. The shelter thinks he is 4 yrs old and an American Bulldog mix. I say he is more like 2 yrs old and has some pit or stafford terrier in him. What do you think???

Beautiful boy!

Depending on which shelter you adopted him from a lot of them wouldn't adopt a pit or staffordshire mix to the public.

He is adorable. Maybe a touch of Chow with the spot on his tongue and the shape/color of his eyes. His face looks a lot like my Chow/Lab mix and she is the most gentle dog I've ever seen as long as you don't try anything with her "family".

Congratulations!

I actually live in NC now, so I got him from the Wake County animal shelter. I have seen many pits there over the last several months we have been looking for the right dog, so I don't think they have a policy against it. I think they just aren't sure what he is. LOL
