But wait, there's more...
Mike Holmes of "Holmes on Homes" ... it's a show on Discovery Home. Not only is he cute in that rugged/sexy way, but he has common sense and is straightforward on is home repairs ... it's such a turn-on.

He looks like what I'd imagine Sloth from The Goonies would look like if he wasn't dropped on his head so much. :ohwell:

Ya'll are mean! Besides ... wait'll you see my new and improved family room. :really: My neighbor has this friend whom I've met before and he's back in town for a week visiting. He is gay, and therefore, has incredible talent, taste and vision when it comes to decor. We spent the day shopping today for paint and structural interest items to make over my family room.

We installed the new mantle, put the base coat of paint on, and my "homework" was to paint the fireplace mantle which I just finished, so I'm off to bed to get some sleep, as tomorrow is going to be a busy day. I told him that we MUST be done by the time the green flag waves tomorrow for the last race of the season.

I've taken pictures along the way so that you can see the before and afters. It's going to be incredible! I won't spoil it now by showing you it before it's done. It's going to look like one of those rooms on "Trading Spaces" or "Design on a Dime", but not the kind you rush to re-make-over once the camera crews leave. :lmao:

I must have missed this. The painter has finished the split foyer, hall and living room. I painted the area above the kitchen cabinets, and the dining room will be finished Monday. I didn't take before pictures because it was all so old and hideous, I didn't want to share "before". When it's all done, I'll post pics.

:yay: I look forward to seeing them. I'm sure it's going to be beautiful. It's amazing just how much something as simple as paint can change the look and feel to a home.

I just finished the second coat of paint on the mantle ... after only one cup of coffee! :jet:
