My mom called me today to inform me that my cat just spent all week in a kitty ICU. He didn't move much last Sunday, so he went to the vert Monday morning, they thought it was Feline Leukemia, but blood tests showed it was a viral infection that got him pretty bad. They kept him there under 24 hour supervision until Thursday night when they got to bring him home. He has to go back in Sat morning for more tests, be hand fed if he doesn't eat, and get 4 medications several times a day for the next 2 weeks. Mom has to leave work 2 times a day to give them to him. I am really lucky to have such wonderful parents to keep him for me while I can't have him with me, AND foot the bill which is at $1250 now, and will just keep going up with his upcoming appointments.. The positive is that it isn't deadly, and he will recover.
