When The DU loonies started chugging Kool-Aid and predicting the end of the world just because Bush won a second term, I pointed and laughed and made merciless fun of them.

It is my hope that Republicans won't make fools of themselves like that. Or I will point and laugh at them as well.

Why are you so off the deep end, 2A... This is our government process at it's finest. The reps had a run at it, the American citizens are not happy with the way things are and have voted for a change. Now the dems get to run with the ball for a while. I just hate everything the Democraps stand for. Nancy Pelosi, the "Turn all you guns in America" queen, is now third from the top. I am in a deep depression. Everything is black right now and I can't see past it.

On top of that, I look back at what I have posted and know that I have totally destroyed any Christian witness I may have had on this board. valentino is right. I am the kind of person that makes people think Christians are hypocrites. But where my head is right now, I just can't get out of the frump. I am beyond all reason right now. I know it, but it is where I am. I wish I was calm, cool, and collected, but I am not. I'd like to scream at the top of my lungs.

Even though I'm busy I know I could have done a lot more to help the cause that (I think) most benefits myself and my state. I plan on joining a campaign sometime next year, probably after graduating college.

And on the issue of taxes, of course they are going up...they must have already been...we are in a war people, one that is costing more than some if not all of the previous wars combined, but again, that is what you wanted.

McCain was on TV this morning, summing it all up pretty well - probably too soon to have a transcript somewhere but he basically said that voters were disillusioned not so much by Iraq, but by runaway spending by the Republicans and that crap about amnesty for illegals. They took their base for granted and the base turned their backs on them.

I'll be interested to see how voter turnout this year compares with midterms of the past.

One of the fallacies that the Democrats hold on to...want more revenues, increase taxes. The reality is that you increase revenue by decreasing taxes.
