My Rant For The Day

Why does it seem that all of the dance and/or gymnastics classes for 3 year olds are during the day? I've managed to find one class on Saturdays but I cannot do weekends as her father has her every other weekend and he lives out of the county. I've put emails into every dance studio in the county in hopes that I'm just missing something. I ran across this last year when I was looking into get her in tumbling classes.

I see some type of Creative Moments classes listed on there. I was wondering what it was all about. $80 for 10 weeks is really cheap.

This is the place in Hollywood right? My daughter did the hip hop class in the spring but it was through park and rec (which is why I am unsure of the name)and they held it here in Lusby... It was $80 for 10 weeks and the instructor was great with the kids and she learned alot. We plan on doing it again in the fall if they come back to Lusby.

I liked that they didn't do the big recitals that cost a fortune and that we could watch if we wanted to.

I would like some opinions and i know people are in here on not scared to say there opinion so her i go. My son is 4 he loves dancing around. You put music on and he starts break dancing etc. Would it be wrong to put him in some sort of dance class? He has lots of energy. We are doing sports but i thought in between season this would be fun.

No I don't think it is bad, although my husband would probably disagree. maybe take him to watch a class and ask him if he likes it

Hubby doesn't like the idea. I told him it wasn't ballet. At this age its more of play time for him. That is a good idea. I will call the dance school and see if they would let us watch a practice.

We've done Jump Bunch for the past copule of sessions and my 3 y/o son loves it. They do a different sport activity every week and start and end with warm up exercises that are set to music.

CREATIVE MOVEMENT

In this class, boys and girls use their bodies, senses and creativity to discover the joyful world of movement. Through movement, children learn about their bodies, the space around them and each other. Less focus is placed on doing structured steps, but draws on children’s connection to music, self-expression, creativity and freedom . This class is not only fun, but can be a foundational tool to aid in sports, dance , theater, performing arts and life in general.

Well that's an option but not really what I was looking for. She really wants to do ballet but the dance schools around here have crappy schedules for the little ones.

Ash started ballet when she was 3 at Bunny Bailey. The schedule is different every year but it was always after work. Call & see what the times for the 3 year olds are this year, sign ups are sometime in August so they should know by now. 301-884-4712

PS this will be her 5th year dancing!
