My room is not one of my chors but i did seperate winter clothes from spring and summer clothes. My last chor is to wash the dishes. Ok?
Switching out the seasonal clothing is the most important thing so that will do for now. It is only Tuesday, you have several more days to get your room clean before spring break is over. Oh yeah, when you wash the dishes, you can let them air dry, but be sure to put them away before mom get's home, m'kay?

I tend to do the dishes on the weekends as well. I like my kids to participate in the household chores, but I don't expect them to do all of them nor do I expect them to do any one chore all the time. We share the burden and that tends to make for a happier household.

More siblings would equate to more bodies splitting chores... but it would also mean a larger quantity of dishes, laundry and such... consider it a wash.

I must admit. I dirty up a lot of dishes when I prepare meals. Day is always getting on me. :blushing:

Nice Huntr1. I'm impressed that you put an apologetic teenager down with your inspiring message about grammer. I've been reading these forums for years and I'm always astounded at the ignorance and arrogance of most of the people who post everyday. Feel better putting someone down now, did it make your day? Did you happen to think that if she's reading SOMD forums, grammer and spelling are not required? What are you and everyone else who post here frequently leaving as an example? If she's reading the same junk on here that I read she fits in perfectly. Around here, "we" tolerate the Tiggers for who they are. I'm sure "we", the majority of the posters don't even know the mistakes being made in grammer and spelling. Now, leave your glass castle and go be nice to someone today.
I am generally quite nice on these forums.
I don't see what was so mean about my post to Kathie. I was giving constructive advise. I am sorry if you got a burr under your saddle about it.

Gee..feel better now you beat up someone who voiced honest conern for your cat?

BTW: Just HOW did that needle get into your cat?
Messy housekeeping?
Poor pet care?
Mean owner stabbing cat with sewing needles?
Good thing 3 Notch was there to help your cat.
Celts,
You can kiss my AZZ.

I did not beat anybody up. Mearly offered some honest advice to Kathie so that her posts will be taken seriously in the future. Don't know the girl IRL, so I couldn't care less if she follows my advice or not.

As for how the cat got the needle in his neck. He got into the box with the sewing stuff in the basement and found the tomato needle thingy. The needle was stuck into the tomato. In knocking the tomato around (cats like to play with balls and that's what it looked like to him), he probably saw the thread and started chewing on it. Vet said that is a common occurance. In chewing on the thread he got the needle in his mouth and it stuck him in the mouth somewhere and worked it's way out thru the neck. Again, vet says this too is not uncommon. Has nothing to do with housekeeping, poor pet care nor with animal cruelty. Was caused by a cat being a cat.

He found the sewing supplies and played with the tomato needle pin cushion thingy. Vet figures that in playing with the tomato he chewed on the thread hanging off the needle, thus getting the needle in his mouth which then proceeded to stab him. It then worked its way under the skin and then out thru the open wound in his neck after it got infected and abcessed. Vet says it is a common occurance.
