Recently Southern Maryland Shooting Times submitted a letter to The Maryland Department of natural Resources, and we did receive a reply from David Heilmeier, who is noted as the Southern Region Manager, with the Maryland DNR Wildlife and Heritage Service. SMST submitted this letter regarding the construction request of a roofing structure over the shooting range bench area. The reply did seem rather positive and Mr. Heilmeier did state that his staff submitted a request for review of the project.
However, SMST wishes to take the inquiry one step further by making the grand attempt to submit a signed petition on the matter to the Maryland DNR, Mr. Heilmeier, and his department staff to hopefully show the majority vote for the project by submitting our petition. We, SMST, need your support for this cause, and everyone who uses the Myrtle Grove range, needs your support as well. The goal is 500 signatures and we all hope you will take the time to sign the petition and show your support for the project.
