Hamlin: 'I'm not going to pay the fine'

Hamlin didn't even say anything disparaging about the car, NASCAR or the racing. He said it would take some time for the TEAMS to figure out how to get the cars to where they can pass.

Robin Pemberton, NASCAR's vice president of competition, said Hamlin has an unspecified amount of time to write his payment check.

"The fines are supposed to be paid as soon as possible, but we're not in any of those windows yet where it seems to be a problem," Pemberton said. Hamlin can continue to compete during an appeal.

He'll pay, or be forgotten by this time next year.

JGR will pay if appeal is denied . 25 K is far LESS than missing prize money & sponorship money

HD, 25k is a drop in the bucket at Cup level. If you know NASCAR, you know they wont allow JGR to pay it for him.

It's not about the $, it's about NASCAR showing who's the boss.
