NASCAR Nationwide Series...

... has become a joke.

NASCAR needs to rename it the "Nationwide Sprint Cup Series."

The whole thing is pointless, now.

NASCAR should be ashamed of themselves for allowing what used to be the best form of stock-car racing turn into what it has become.

Good point Andy. Here's my 2 cents. I think it is good experience for N'wide drivers to race against the Cup boys so they can learn from them. But, I'm also against the Cup drivers competing for the championship because it should go to a N'wide series driver. So...at the beginning of the season, each driver declares the series in which he/she is competing for the championship. If you win you get the money, but if it's not in your declared series you don't get any championship points. That would ensure a true N'wide series driver as the champ AND allow them to learn from the cup drivers also. Whadda ya think?

I still say get rid of them altogether.

I'm sick and tired of Cup drivers coming in, feeling they're entitled to the win (Denny Hamlin) and expecting everyone to pull over for them because they have 2 Cup wins. :notworthy

I hear ya, and I think I know the incident you're refering to with Hamlin. But if you get rid of the Cup drivers attendence will go down, sponsors will start pulling out. etc. Most people, not all, go to see the big names because that's all they know. Some people hadn't even heard of the series until the Jr-Kenseth championship battles in 98 and 99. It's about the only way N'wide gets any attention.
