But was Memphis ever cool? I know I went to "A" school in 1974, just outside Memphis. My buddies and I were robbed at gunpoint as soon as we got off the bus. Fortunately, my father had been a man of the world, and had advised me to put $20.00 in my pocket and the remainder in my sock. So, the #1 male got $20.00 off me, and both my buddy's paychecks in cash. Meanwhile, I showed up to Millington with most of my paycheck available for spending.

Announcements like this have happened PLENTY of times in acts of terror like this. Typically you'll find it's a technique used by terror groups who can't afford to alienate civilians among whom these people live. In other words, they are terror groups without a territory. Boko Haram, for example, uses this technique often, as the territory they control is fleeting - gain some, lose some, an so on and so on. The intent is absolutely to inflict terror and destroy property. It's a technique used to make the terrorists seem humane and respectful of human life. Too many casualties would alienate people who could potentially be allies.
Make no mistake - the announcement is not a benevolent act; it is part and parcel to inflicting terror.
Both left and right alike have lots of reasons to be pissed off at government. Let's hang back and wait for more developments.
I understood this to be an AntiFa thing. Not sure why, but it was my first impression.
Being a terrorist is the exact opposite of humane. If they were respectful of life, they wouldn't engage in terroristic activities that include things like bullets, bombs, fire, poisons, chemicals etc.

most of you know that between the recognized holidays in America, the incidents of suicides and homicides rise. couple that with turbulent times, feelings of isolation, depression this happens. I dont believe its a crazyazz Saudi or Egyptian, probably, and I say probably a laid off nebbish who wanted his 15 minutes of fame.
