QUESTION of the Day: What would you honesatly say to your boss face-to-face if given the chance?

Yeah I stole the uestion from FOX News... I'd tell them that in this industryu, neither experience or intelligence comes with age and promoting someone solely on their age and not their skill level and experience is unacceptable. I'd also tell my boss to get their head out of their boss' kester.

I like my boss. I'm sure I'd say something nice.
I like my boss too. I know I would only say nice things. I feel very lucky to have a job that I love to do... and a boss that is very easy to work for.

I'm beyond pissed that a promotion I was promised was given to someone else because they're older. They have no background or experience in computers and was given thwe promotion. I was getting settled in to where I was to be officially promoted in two weeks just to have it ripped under me and sent back elsewhere doing trash runs and hardware replacements again. I have lost all respect for my boss because of that.

See, I needed this promotion for health insurance (which I do not have) and their tuition payback that I'm now not eligible for another 9 months.

This was the lasty straw, I'm going into broadcasting school and giving up in computer technology.

"Working for you has been the greatest professional experience of my life. You've been kind, thoughtful, always looking out for my best interest. You've challenged me, motivated me and allowed me the room to put my talents to work to do the best job I know how and you've consistently rewarded my efforts and shown your appreciation for me, both in monetary terms, free time and simple acknowledgment of how important I am to you. In a word, thanks!"

It'as just all politics here... I think if she could, my boss would help me out but someone in the department wants age to over-rule how long someone works here. In otrher words, someone who's worked here a year or even more will be demoted to someone who's just older - and I've seen that one happen too. I just can't stand for that.

I like my bosses and don't really have anything negative to say to them. I might ask the one why he keeps a bunch of socks in his desk drawer, though.
