My Sweetest Boy
If I recall, it's a bunch of crap. My oldest son got a lot of this stuff when he was in school....and most of it was going to cost us a good bit of money. There may be some threads about this program or some others on here. I know Kwillia had checked out one of them.

It all starts with the nomination: ask yourself how your child got on the mailing list in the first place -his/her teacher nominated the child! In most cases the teacher did not know any better, but the teacher is in clear and direct violation of the Family Education Rights & Privacy Law (FERPA).

Caveat Emptor - your childs name and personal information, as well as the parent(s) name and and e-mail contact are now all part of a highly questionable database with a for-profit organization. Imagine what they can do with this information, now and in the future ...

Do yourself a favor: dial the 1-800 number in the mail piece, ask, no DEMAND that your name, child's name and all other identifiable information in their database is permanently deleted. You'll be surprised how quickly they are willing to comply. Then ask for a written confirmation (e-mail) that your request was executed.

Next step: talk to your school administrator and talk to other parents to put a stop to this nonsense.

Hmmm, interesting
