Navy Petty Officer William Peterson, of Port Tobacco, Md., selected as Junior Sailor of the Quarter
Cmdr. Clarke Craine, the commanding officer of the VFA 213 recognized Petty Officer Peterson as Junior Sailor of the Quarter the third quarter of 2014.
The Navy recognizes its top performing Sailors each quarter by choosing a Junior Sailor of the Quarter at each command. Those chosen as a Junior Sailor of the Quarter have displayed sustained superior performance above all other junior enlisted personnel at their command.
VFA 213 is currently deployed on board the USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
Petty Officer Peterson is an Aviation Electronics Technician and he is responsible for the maintenance and repairs of the avionics equipment in the air wing’s twelve F/A-18F Hornet aircraft. Cmdr. Craine considers Peterson a consummate professional both in the work center and on the flight deck.
