"A U.S. Navy aircraft on a training mission accidentally dropped an inert "training bomb" Tuesday while flying over the resort town of Virginia Beach, Va., causing minor damage to a wall next to a warehouse, the Navy reported."

The very first thing that came to mind when I read the title of this tread is this..........

I love the Beach.... lived right off of Lynnhaven.... They train these guys over the area that use to be open fields. They warned people not to build there... If you take the number of training exercises they run and put it against the incidents like this then you know they have an excellent safety record.... It very safe to live near the Navy....

We are so lucky it was an inert bomb... One of the most memorable "training" accidents was the hotdogger that took off the top of family station wagon on Oceana Blvd.
