Navy Ship Shoots Down Drone With Laser Blaster : Discovery News

Star Wars fanatics who’ve longed for the days of fleets of laser-equipped vessels blasting enemies out of the sky and sea, your ship has quite literally come in.

The U.S. Navy announced that, for the first time, it will outfit one of its ships with a laser weapon. According to a Navy press release, the laser will be capable of performing “actions ranging from non-lethal disabling and deterrence all the way up to destruction.”

A few days earlier he made his men trade in their repeating Spencer rifles for single shot Springfield rifles. The ammunition was not interchageable and resulted in a lot of spent cartridges being stuck in the breach. Because of the number of broken knives they found on the battlefield, it was said the men went down in hand to hand fighting. They now know the knives were broken when the soldiers used them to try to extract the stuck cartridges.

By the way most of the Indians were armed with repeating Henery Rifles commonly called "The Yellow Boy".
