A U.S. Navy commander indicted last year on child sex video offenses pleaded guilty Wednesday to scaled-down charges involving the images and illegally holding onto classified national security documents.

Lt. Cmdr. Gregory Edward McLean, 39, whose charges also identify him by variants of the screen name “twisteddesire,” agreed to a plea deal that would require at least five years in prison but eliminate the legal potential he had faced of serving up to 30 years.
