NC-Preacher Throws Democrats Out of His Church

Over the Line

This preacher has stepped over the line. However, it will probably work out to be a selfcorrecting problem. If he continues to expel anyone who disagrees with him, as he is also loosing financial support for the church. I wonder why the members have tolerated his negativism for so long? Can't they vote him out?

To me it's not about Democrat vs Republicans. A lot of the people who left were Republicans. They didn't appreciate the preacher telling them how to vote. I heard a Television interview with someone from the church. He is against abortion and against gays and voted for Bush but he could not believe the demand his preacher made. Also he was very surprised that more women did not object being told who to vote for after it took them so long to get the right to vote.

I'm not defending the preacher, but I do recognize why he did it. In churches across the country, the message is to vote the pro-gay, pro-abortion, anti-Christian politicians out of office. Those who fear God don't want this country to fail because we as a nation turned our backs on Him.

The DNC has a hell of a nerve getting involved in this, considering black Baptists churches are notorious for inviting Democrat politicians to campaign as part of the service.

Like Topper said, this is self-correcting and, therefore, a non-story. The only reason it even made the news is because the liberal media will sensationalize anything in order to bash Christians.

But did they kick out Republicans? Or DEMAND that they vote certain way or get out?

It should be self correcting. Otherwise it's going to get ugly.

Black Baptists churches don't have to kick out Republicans - there aren't any.

But it doesn't matter. It's still politics from the pulpit and it's wrong. The minister will get the boot - you'll see. Republicans police their own, unlke Democrats who leave their own to run amok and ruin the reputation of the party as a whole.

I am ALL for that...

jeopardized his church's tax-free status by openly supporting a candidate for president.

I'd repeal that today!

Ever single house of worship in this nation, including all them farcical ones with made up, obscure names and sub sects just so some slickster can build him a home tax free would be paying up, right now.

All of them. There is NO excuse and no reason for any church to be tax free.
