Just sneakin' around....
Turns out Sinema will now support this Act. I've tried reading up on the pros and cons, but just finding a lot of biased opinion. But I gather that many feel the bill will not reduce inflation nor reduce the cost of meds, while the Dems are pushing hard that it will.
My problem is this: if the bill is a waste of time and money, I'd prefer it died. However, it did provide some pretty hefty breaks for people buying electric vehicles. But in a last minute gotcha, the portions of the bill giving credits to 2 and 3 wheel electric vehicles was stricken, so there is a small movement asking to contact your representatives to have that portion of the bill reinstated.
If the bill is going to go thru anyway, I'd like the AutoCycle and motorcycle revisions put back in, but at the same time, don't want to shoot myself in the foot with other aspects of the bill, so not sure if I should forward the letter to our reps.
Here's a link to a vid that talks about it. It's presented only from a personal interest in the 3-wheeled Aptera so doesn't consider any other bill aspects whatsoever. He did a pretty good job of following the trail to get to the meat of the electric vehicle rebate, but he's a bit long winded, likes to hear himself and could have presented this in half the time.
Thoughts?
