No advice here, but here is a bump to your thread.
Good luck.
Jaksprat, good on you for trying to help. The best thing would have been to leave it alone and the Mom would most likely have come back. Of course, something bad may have happened to Mom. Either way, hopefully a rescue person will chime in soon. Baby rabbits are very fragile.
Yeah, I thought about leaving it for Mom to get it too but it seemed so vulnerable where it was. I'm keeping an eye out for the mom but meanwhile need to care for it.
Most wild animals will reject their young after humans have handled them due to the smell. At least thats what my dad used to tell me...

How To Care For Orphaned Wild Cottontail Bunnies Orphan Cotton Tail Rabbits
Awww! Today I found 5 dead baby rabbits in my side yard. I think a neighbor cat got a litter. I have no idea where their nest was. I've been sad all day.

Why sad?? Those 5 bunnies could have resulted in your neighborhood being over run with rabbits in 3 years.. Nature has a way of keeping things in balance if we stop interfering.

Of course 5 full grown bunnies probably could have made Hassenpfeffer for 4.
