What kind of broadband services is available out there for the people who live in or around the Lexington Park area? And how much do you pay a month for it?

And is it possible to get DSL or cable-modem without having a phone line??

You need a phone line for DSL and you need a cable subscription for the broadband service provided by the cable company. If you do not currently have phone service, you will need it for DSL.

I'm not sure what the rates are or availability in St. Mary's County.

Good Luck...

and all depends on your area

Remember everything depends on your area. Some of the sable lines are old. So they won't guarentee as good a connection as other places. Same goes for anything. PHONE lines are old too. DSL is only offered in minimum places. But yeah cable will get ya better then a 28 or 33 connection. Like in tall timbers, I can only connect at like 26.8 So good luck. Just call those local places, but ask about NO JOKE connection sppeds and transfer speeds. They have the capability to give u them, but the market is wide open down here so they have you over a barrel round here is all
