Can anyone recommend a good OB/GYN in the Waldorf area? I recently moved here and now think I'm pregnant.

Any help would be great.

Thanks!

Dr. Aron is right next door to Civista. He's delivered two of my three kids. His number is 301-753-4220 or 301 934-4220. If he is not taking on new patients, ask his receptionist for referrals.

Dr. Aron takes my insurance but I don't see Dr. Brathwaite. Any idea how long it would take to get an ultrasound? I have not had my period since April (I think) and have no clue how far I am. I just took 2 pregnancy tests that both were immediately positive.

If you havent had a thingy since Apr and you've taken 2 preg tests that came back postive, AND you still havent been seen.. YOU ARE an idiot!! c'mon.. thats almost 6 months of no prenatal care. GIT YER AZZ TO THE OB/GYN!!! Dr. Aron is a good doctor, heck just about all of them are. Quit jerking around and go get yourself checked out..

Dr. Aron would do an ultrasound on your first visit to confirm pregnancy. He would order one at 20 weeks+ at an off-site facility. Yes, get to the doctor!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will start making calls in the morning. Let me just add that this is NOT my first pregnancy I have a healthy 3 y.o. and have not had a normal period since his birth in 2004. If not on BC (not since April), I didn't get it at all. I know I am not 6 months pregnant, probably about 6-8 weeks is my best guess. Yesterday wsa the first day I really started noticing signs. We shall see!

Doctor Nelson Alawode is the best. He is in Waldorf and delivered both of my sons and pretty much all my nieces and nephews. (My first pregnancy went great and the second had unforseen problems and was born two months early.) He is great for high risk or complicated pregnancies. He doesn't take chances. But he doesn't deliver at Civista because they don't have a neonatal intensive care unit (or one to his liking)...just in case there is a problem. I highly recommend him.

FYI, Dr. Aron has been replaced with Dr. Hotchkiss as the OB/GYN physican at Civista.

Dr. Ali is wonderful! I love him so much. You can tell he actually cares about his patients. I never felt rushed. He came and sat on my bed in the hospital and we just talked for probably 1/2 hour. He looked right at me when we talked, not just :blahblah: talking.

Hotchkiss stopped delivering babies in 2004 because his malpractice insurance went up too high. I see on Civista's website that he's listed there as an OB, so maybe he went back to it.

He delivered my last child in 2003. He's competant, but his bedside manner bites in a big way. I'd never go back to him.

One time when I was getting a PAP from him (the only time) he got on his knees at the end of the table. His face was right there! I thought I would die!
He was litterally on his knees!!

 Yes. He was wacky! Even the nurse was blushing at some of the odd things he said. I just can't figure out how he did the pap with both hands on my knees.
