Lookin at the pictures and the specs, not a bad choice.

Looks like a nice ride, and saw a few writeups recently about the resurgence of the 750 motor..

About 10 of us are going for a Southern MD cruise Saturday morning 14th . Mostly all Suzuki M109R's and a VTX I heard. I guess you could call it a Muscle Cruiser Ride. Will be running down Rt4 and then Lookout and Amish country and back to 301.

2 of us meet at the BP station on Rt 228 at 8:30 am tomorrow and head north to meet the group. I am sure you are welcome to tag along even though your bike engine is almost 2 and half times smaller then the smallest 1800 riding with us.
;-)

Be safe

Here's a group ride:

First guy signal, next guy signal, do this, do that, move over, who needs to stop, someone is having problems. Eff that.

My group ride consists of 1bdz, me, DR and Dukesdad. Dukesdad torments me on the way to where we're going cause I'm not keeping up and I SMOKE his azz on the way home. :lmao:

I was going to ask, new rider, 1000 miles, does he REALLY want to do a BIG group ride?? Would you like to know the rider in front/ behind you has had his bike less than a month?

I can only speak for mine at 124 hp and 119 ft/lbs torque bone stock. A few of the other M109's had a fair amount of work and are pushing 200 HP.

You are right about the thunder... the Busa that rode along was virtually silent in the pack.

To new rider. This was my first "group ride" of more than 3 bikes. I learned alot and it was a bit nerve racking and dicy at times, especially since we were the only 2 up riders in the pack. 2 second stagger spacing was to close for me while riding the twisters on Croom Rd. Start with a small group... big groups eventually spread out and this becomes dangerous and not so much fun as cars try to cut in and riders try to speed up and blow burning yellow and turning.... lights to stay with the pack.

2 highlights today
one M109 broke a throttle cable out in the boonies. After offering to call for a lift they guy discovered the 9 had enough idle torque to get down the road and headed to Waldorf with no throttle control...... amazing low end power these bikes have.

Then as we approached a 2 horse drawn carriage , the horses spooked and was dragging the buggy down the road with it's brakes locked up all over the place.... Sorry Horsies!!!

Lunch was good at Clarks Landing.

Be safe.

I'm ready for another lunch ride. I just got back from a Friday / Saturday ride to the Western Md. West Virginia area with a buddy.
