Milk chocolate, peanut and peanut butter are the stalwart M&M's flavors, but soon there will be a new option vying for your taste buds' attention.

For the first time in the 75-year history of the brand, the candy company is embracing a caramel filling that will become a permanent member of the M&M family.

About damn time!!

They put a man on the moon before they thought to fill M&Ms with caramel. Good grief.

I am way too troubled by the fact that pecan pie m&ms don't have noticeable pecans to be bothered with karamel

Yes, but will they pronounce it caramel, or karmel?

 I got into that with a friend. I always pronounce it carmel. She insists on caramel. Then a cooking show came on TV with high profile celebrity chefs, and every one pronounced it carmel.

I be vindicated....

But were the chefs using the word as a noun or a verb? I think "carmel" is a verb; the process of carmelization, maybe? Caramel refers to the candy?

Caramelization (def.)

(of sugar or syrup) be converted into caramel.

•cook (food) with sugar so that it becomes coated with caramel.

***Carmel is usually a place name while caramel is a tannish-brown sugary sweet food made as a result of the caramelization of sugar.

I should seriously think about cooking school. They use Bing and Google too.
