so, I'm due for a new cell phone with verizon. anyone have any advice on brands/models? I'm leaning towards the motorolakrazer. mostly looking for something that's not going to be too expensive ($150 or less) and has decent reception.

I just got the Samsung SCH-u740. I really like it, I can get calls in my house now with it in the ranch club which I couldn't do before.

Got it for $79.99 after mail in rebate (go to store) They will give it to you for $129.99 with $50 mail in rebate if the offer is still available.

I really like the look of them, the only reason I chose a different one was because I have many friends that had a razr or the like and the keypad was not the best quality. Keys were dead and the only way they could make calls was through contacts, couldn't dial a number out. This was after a year of having the phone, but still.

I had a chocolate and after about a year it stopped holding a charge and i couldn't send pix messages. So I guess it would be best to get what ever has the features and look you want since they all go bad around 1-2 years anyway.

The insurance on the phone is kind of a crock. I had it thinking it would save me if something happened. Guess what the battery isn't covered. So I could get a new phone but I'd still have a buy a new battery. So what is the point?

I just got the iPhone and love it. Had it about a month now and I was worried about service down here. But it works everywhere I go.

If I was to get a new Verizon phone for under $150.00 I would look at the LG envy or the Samsung SCH-u740. I do a good amount of texting so those are nice for me. I hear that the LG Voyage is pretty good to. But they are like $300.00 and hard to get.

If you want an honest opinion on which phones are the best and get returned the least or have the most problems go over to best buy and talk to Chris in the mobile dept. He will tell you straight up what to stay away from. He can even do the upgrade for you.

I just upgraded to the XV6800 smart phone. Really nice. Lots of features. It runs Windows Mobile v6 and can sync up with MS Outlook. It does Bluetooth and WiFi. Original retail was $499. I got $100 new every 2 discount plus an advanced device credit of $100 and because I upgraded online, I got the $100 online discount. There was also a mail-in rebate card in the box so my final price was $149.

daughter wanted the Razor but all of her friends had many problems with them.. just not very durable now she wants the ENV

I have the ENV and love it. Beat the crap out of it, and it still works great.

Full QWERTY keyboard.. IM (Yahoo, AOL &MSN) can check e-mail.. Hotmail and Yahoo, and AOL.. and limited internet access..

I have a Razor and have had no problems with it, but now that I have said that, it will break. I think it is Murphy's Law or something like that.

I've had my enV for a year now. It's the best phone I've ever had.
