As ugly as the new Camaro when it was reintroduced? That would be pretty bad. Guess I'll go and Duck (eff Google!) a picture.

Better than I expected it to look, but I don't see anything "Nova-esque" about it other than 2 doors.
GM isn't noted for good decisions when it comes to bringing back iconic cars. They really blew it with the GTO rerun. If they had done a retro design (ala Dodge Challenger) that looked like a 60's/70's GTO Pontiac might still be around. The camaro was ugly too. They have done some fixes to make it look better but... Then there was the mid 80's Nova (a rebadged Toyota Sprinter) a true POS.
Just look at the new Blazer.
They must have hired the design team from the Pontiac Aztec. Do they not realize how well a early to mid 70's retro K5 would sell?

Well, if they were to offer the new Nova with a three-on-the-tree it might warrant some consideration from us oldtimers.
Looks like they could have named it Cavalier just as easily.
