Okay forumites... here's y'all's chance... I know alot of y'all are brainy types....there's 25 million dollars at stake.... yes!! real money!! Richard Branson that owns Virgin Atlantic has a contest that will pay 25 million for anyone that can come up with a device that removes 1 billion tons of carbon dioxide in the air :yay: Any ideas??? :tap: :smile: All I can think of is some kind of HUGE filter :ohwell: Maybe I'll just get 2.00 for that idea :ohwell: :lol:

Well that's no good. Once you remove it from the air, where do you put 1 billion tons of anything?

:killingme: I used to commute on 295 and each day my carpool would say... wow isn't that a pretty view of the sunset and water... I'd say ... It would look alot better if the birds wern't STANDING on the water :lol:

For how long? Because we could all collectively hold our breath for 60 seconds (I, a smoker, can actually do longer than that :cool:)

I can think of a lot of them! The Guillotine, Electric Chair, automatic rifle, nerve gas, nuclear weapons, anthrax, bird flu, disgruntled Korean students, .... Lot's of ways to rid the earth of carbon producers!

Hold on a sec, let me rewind channel 7's BS of Planet Earth... I liked a lot of it but then they were saying about the rainforest and how most trees that get harvested and then wasted and not used and it was about 6 football fields worth a minute worth of trees being completly wasted, then not more then 1 second later started talking about it's because of people's need for paper, so the tree's have to be harvested for paper... I was :confused: and rewound it 4 times.. and yes, they contradicted themselves... after that I tuned it out until I heard 25 million contest :lol:

We use recycled paper at work :shrug: BTW, it's a "years worth" of carbon dioxide we need to think of a device that can get rid of :ohwell: I guess this may be a hard task :ohwell: :lol: The show tonight did make sure to point out that McDonald's will NOT sell chicken that has been fed soy bean from this rainforest's waste of harvesting of paper, for paper that they are not harvesting but wasting and burning :ohwell: Also, another company is boycotting things fromteh rainforest as well... don't recall what it was.... Although I did feel bad for the mocking bird kind of birds there that can now immitate car alarms and chain saws... they showed the bird doing it.. it was sad :bawl:

The other company is HomeDepot... they have now banned any wood that comes from the Amazon Rain Forest ("the lungs of the Earth") :ohwell:... again, that still doesn't make sense because they just a minute earlier said how wasteful it was that the Amazon Rain Forest was being harvested and the tree's wasted :crazy: ughh... I try to be environmentally concenious but this show tonight was just too confusing to follow :crazy: :lol:
