Everyone would be happy to know that my husband and I are privately funding a new wing for the Vet Hospital. :sarcasm:

Due to the fact that 4 of our animals have had to go to their hospital non-stop for the past 3 months!!!!! :faint: :nomoney:

I swear if it weren't for bad luck I'd have none at all! :lmao:

My dog, Cayenne, has thyroid and liver disease. Just found this out a few months ago. My cat Tasha, has kidney disease and a heart murmur due the kidney disease. My newest cat Garfield has had to have his shots and he has gingivitis. Then one of my other cats Sybil decides she's going to get sick and we still haven't figured out whats up with her. All her tests have come back normal but she acts painful and is not wanting to eat. Despite her thorough work over by the vet she is still acting weird. I am afraid to ask what's next!

I was pretty much just looking for someone to laugh with me, because at this point being sad about it is just ridiculous. It's like that saying, why cry over spilled milk? Anyway, what is most important is that it was all caught early enough that no one suffered any major damage from their illnesses and will live at least another 5 yrs. with good care. I give nothing but the best to my critters, or at least I try.

Oh I hear ya..... I know where you are coming from... when it rains it pours. Good for you for catching it early....most people dont. Im more worried about your kitty that isnt eating well. If a cat doesnt eat in a certain amount of time... you are looking at major issues.

They have given me some metacam and she has had two doses. The day before and yesterday and she is out moving around a lot more today. We were thinking that when one of my males, Nemo, jumped her the other day he may have made her sore. So we think the metacam is helping her. She gave me a few more doses today for her when I took Tasha, the one with kidney disease, back in cause now she has a bacterial infection in her ears. :jameo:

I'm thinking with the various places that I have dry food placed that she is probably sneaking and eating because she does not appear to be loosing any weight. I saw her sneak into the laundry room this morning and I have a food station and water fountain and a couple of litter boxes set up in there. So I am sure she is getting something. I just haven't seen her yet.

I just know for the first two days after the fight she stayed hid under my bed and didn't come out. So when my husband got her out from under there and she was acting painful that's when I decided to take her to the vet. I'm sure she will be fine.

Yeah I know about that, and believe me I watch them like a hawk. She has definitely not lost any weight as I can see and she is barely 2 yrs. old. So I am fairly sure she won't get that.

On a funny note, one of the tech's at the vet offered to set me up a cot in the cat waiting area! :roflmao:

UGH!!! I had to ask if anything could get worse!!!! Now one of the cats is puking and has diarrhea!!!:jameo: Thank goodness at this point they told me it could be stress and for me to give them a bland diet of hamburger and rice to see if that settles their stomach.   At this rate I am NEVER going to get that vet bill paid down!!!! :faint:

I am so glad I haven't had to go to the vet except for the normal stuff like flea and tick preventative and heartworm pills in the last month. Poor bruno keeps getting urinary tract infections but the vet said that is normal for female puppies to get though guess we have been lucky though as she hasn't had one in 3 months now.

Mousebaby I do feel for you though as I know what its like to have all your money basically going to the vet I had that happen with my 12yr old cat. He became diabetic and had to go 1x a week for the vet to check him out at 80.00 a pop because they would charge us for everything under the sun they could think of just to draw a little blood from him to test his sugar levels to see if the meds were working at the dose they put him on. I also had to deal with 2 diabetic seizures and that costed a lot of money as we ended up at teh emergency vet each time as my vet wanted him to be watched over night at over 1,000 a pop because they then decided to run every test under the sun on him. After the 2nd diabetic seizure we took him to the vet and put him to sleep as it isn't fair to have an animal suffer when nothing is working for him as they could never get his insulin regulated. I also have a 6yr old cat that has heart murmur that costed me a lot of money too. I have spent a lot of money on my pets but they are my babies so I do what needs to be done. I wish money grew on trees and you could pull some off when I needed it lol.
