I bought one. The screen is amazing. It's hard to imagine that text (i.e. books, webpages) can look this much better on a backlight screen until you actually see it yourself. The text rendering is so good, so pleasing to the eyes - it's as good as high quality printed text.

Reading on it (not to mention viewing other things, e.g. video, photos) is pure joy. I actually dislike reading from the iPad 2 now as well as from my computer monitors (which are pretty good quality themselves). I can't help but notice how fuzzy the text is on them, whereas before it seemed great. I suspect the perfect (in so far as most human eyes are concerned) text rendering will make a big difference over time (especially as I get older) when it comes to potential eye strain caused by reading so much off of backlight screens.

And being able to see video in true HD on a (relatively) large screen as you are recording it is pretty cool too. There are a number of meaningful improvements with this latest version that made it worth the upgrade to me (though it surely won't be for some people), but the quality of the screen is easily the most important one. It also doesn't hurt that I'm on a grandfathered unlimited data plan so that I can actually take advantage of the faster wireless speeds without quickly running into a data limit. :smile: I'm looking forward to going somewhere with LTE coverage so I can see what kind of speeds I get (currently getting 7 Mb/s up, still slower than what I get over cable / WiFi).
