I wanna be a SMIB
hey dawn, How come you always find these babies? Do you live in the country or just have a bunch of ferals in the neighborhood. They are adorable. The one with the black spots that looks like a cow, name it Bessie. My hubby would want a divorce cause I would be keeping them all. :)

I think it's so cute they are IN the food bowl.

I feel Dawn's pain. My neighborhood is plagued with wild cats and apparently momma just had a "ton" more according to my neighbor. She has someone coming out to try and trap and release.

It breaks my heart though. I know I shouldn't feed them, but I can't help it. They are so cute. Two kittens from momma's last litter really think they live here and have become so friendly. I will get them fixed and keep them. I'll try and get pics later. One is a black tuxedo and the other is completely black, but if you look close, he has tiger stripes.

Dawn, your kitties are so cute. I like the name Bessie also for the one

white and black patches cat looks like my picasso. NO more cats for me. I live with someone who isn't a cat person and he really doesn't even want my 2 cats that I have right now in the house but there is no choice so he is dealing with them.

Come on Mousie, you know you want another. :lmao:

How is Garfield by the way?

Oh boy, he had a bad reaction to the prozac so they took him off of that and put him on Paxil, so now he walks around crying all the time and if one of the other cats gets too close its holy terror. Other than that, he's cool!

Doc said it could take up to 3 weeks for the med to kick in and take hold so I am not giving up on the paxil yet. He is a sweety, but somewhat psycho all in the same time. I reached up to turn a light on while I was carrying him and he grabbed hold of my arm and took one heck of bite out of my hand. I am fine though, it's all healed up. He will eventually adjust, I just know not to carry him anymore! :lmao:

Oh Geez!!!! I cannot believe he is such a freak. That thing jumped in my car one day. I guess he is scared of other cats. No wonder someone dumped him. You are such a great person for taking him in though. I have two more for the taking, they don't need kitty Paxil either. Interested?

:lmao:

You know if I post pics you'll fall in love.

none of the kitty drugs are cheap. I got sucked dry on insulin male cat boots (rip) he has since been put to sleep as he kept having diabetic seizures and when we took him to the vet the vet told us that she thought his kidneys were starting to fail so that was the best thing we could do other than make the cat suffer til he passed. He lived a good 12yrs with me.

I also had a 10yr old cat who when I moved to NY didn't take too well to my aunts cat and guess what (my stupid aunt) made me get rid of her because she claimed I had one too many cats. Well I told her to get rid of hers as mine were all older and had a great life til your cat came into the picture as none of mine were on drugs til they met her cat. I to this date am still really mad at my aunt and will never forgive her as because of her I think my cat has been put to sleep as I gave her to someone who had cats and she didn't get along with there cats so she took her to the pound and they I bet put her to sleep right away as she was 10yrs old.

I cannot keep my mouth shut any longer. I can almost guarantee that cat HAD a home somewhere and just was wandering around. Now he's at Mousebaby's house, where he gets mixed in with all those other animals. AND he gets declawed. No freaking wonder he's crazy! He's probably miserable and missing his old family. Now he's got to be drugged every day just to survive in that house. That cat is NOT happy there, it's obvious. I can't bear to think that some family is missing their cat. :ohwell: And he's not happy. Maybe he should be placed in a home where he's happier. Did anyone even put out flyers or ads anywhere when he was first found??

Mouse, don't even bother replying with one of your defensive posts. This is my opinion, and it's not going to change. I don't care if you think I'm a flaming biatch. That's fine with me. I just wanted to get this out because I've been trying to keep my mouth shut for so long, and I can't do it anymore.

I don't think you're a flaming biatch, and the meds are only til he gets adjusted. Yes I did put up an ad about the cat, no one answered. He is happy, he plays with us, he loves my husband and enjoys being brushed. I think he was abused at one time other wise he would not be such a biter. Even if he WAS some one else's cat, at least he has a roof over his head now, a full belly, plenty of fresh water and lots of people who love him. Yes I agree he is unhappy at the moment, but he will adjust and come around, when he does I will have the doc ween him off the meds. Now if you want you can continue to hate me for taking him in, that is fine, but I only wanted to help him, I was not out to do any harm. I love him and he seems to love us too.
