New Memory: missing e-mails

I had netscape for 5+ years...lots of genealogy and reenacting e-mails I had filed.
The computer sort of crashed 12 days ago and now I have more memory and again downloaded netscape as my browser. While it was down, I used my wife's laptop to keep up with e-mails through comcast. But I had no access to previous e-mails there.
Now that I am back in business, I can't find/access 1500 e-mails.
How can I import my e-mails and from where?
I found the "manage e-mails account" but am afraid to start screwing with it for fear of forever losing these e-mails.
TIA

It's probably on your old computer hard drive.

In My Opinion
soon as you retrieve the email it becomes saved on your puter.
It no longer exists on the net server.

if your old drive still works, you can set it up as a secondary drive and pull the emails back off of it and onto your new drive.

if the old drive does not work,, oops.
