My first pet was a mouse and then I had hamsters (short hair and teddy-bear)

My kids would have them now, but the cats would eat them. :ohwell:

They are both great pets, but not together.

I've had hamsters, gerbils, mice, and rats while I've owned cats. It was never a problem. :shrug:

Heck, my cats are scared of my rats...:lol:

:yeahthat: Mine are too! Although I would never turn my back on them if I had the rats out playing. I usually let the rats run up and down the cat tower. Makes the cats go banana's when I put the rats away. They are all climbing up and down the tower to try and find the rat! :lmao:
