Cheyenne, WY (PRWEB) September 4, 2007 -- UnlistAssist LLC announces the launch of a new public service that removes personal information from online databases known as "people search" engines. The new opt-out software application protects consumers from junk mail and identity theft as well.

The $49 service works by submitting Electronic Opt-Out™ requests and physical letters via U.S. Mail to each of the major databases and marketing companies on behalf of a consumer. The result is increased identity security, increased personal privacy and a dramatic reduction in junk mail.

"We will continue to monitor for new online databases and automatically send an electronic opt-out™ whenever possible for three full years at no additional cost to you."

I signed up for this, it may be right for you.....

You can "opt out" for free if you do it yourself.

Please post a list of instructions on how to remove my name and info from the myriad databases I must be in.

Disclaimer: A single item 'list' telling me that I shouldn't put my name out there in the first place won't be very useful to me at this point.

Thanks.

They also probably want email addr, ssn, birth date -- Just to confirm you identy, of course.
So how did any Personal Info get on these databases in the first place?

well you would be surprised what ends up online these days ...........

starting with public information ...... companies just compile everything than can on you , and then sell it to other companies .........

those grocery store discount cards .......... build a database on what buy to better target you with ads ...........

CC companies tally what you buy and sell info ........

Yes all these ways and more.
Best to be distrustful of any request for info these days.
I wonder how much 1 persons info is worth in dollars and cents?
How many do you need to make a living?
How many does this Opt-Out service need/expect to make it worthwhile?
