500 kilovolt line proposed for MD, VA.

"The new 230-mile line would be built mostly along existing rights of way except for a link in Maryland between the Calvert Cliffs nuclear plant in Lusby and the town of Vienna in Dorchester County. The line would go from Calvert County under the Chesapeake to the town on Maryland's Eastern Shore."

Good for Pepco, but how would this help us in Southern Maryland since Pepco doesn't service this area and the electricity is going to be shipped to other markets?

Jobs to build the line, jobs at Calvert Cliffs, fees and taxes to the county.
