The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Fisheries Service will implement new regulations March 22 addressing pre-season striped bass fishing. These restrictions will be in effect until the April 17 start of the spring trophy season.

We need to stop all pre-season catch and release. Data has shown females cannot take the stress of catch and release and do not spawn.

Why not wait a few weeks? 3 million eggs are not worth it
