This is why Audi TTs, which at first had a smooth shape, had the spoilers added, they got loose at high speeds.

Which Audi's are you talking about here. I had a chance to drive a TT on a road course 2 years ago with no sign at all of getting loose at high speeds.

BlackedouttC, you mentioned having lots of engine work done. What kind of work have you done?

Id take the "redded" items off and i think you will be looking nice ;)

My only future mod is a S3 SRT engine.

How is an Sti too expensive for what you get? The only other car that compares with its performace and is similar in price is the Evo, otherwise we are talkin Porsche's and Vettes that are the next closest competitors.

Ehh.. I think those items are needed not only for looks, but they actually serve quite a bit of purpose also..

My doors on my tC, or any for that matter, are extremely long.. so having the vertical door kit would actually be better.. plus adds to the uniqueness of the tC.

Carbon Fiber Fenders.. other than the fact they look awesome on a Black tC.. they are also lighter.. so its going to serve its purpose. Not to mention its going to look great with the Carbon Fiber theme almost all around the car.. its hard to see unless your used to seeing it or know what it is. That goes with the door panels as well as the gutted interior.. I am going to pad and re-carpet the back of the tC once the rollcage is installed.. that way it doesn't look "metalish".. it will actually look like its supposed to be that way.. that is how I do all my vehicles.. give it that aggressive factory look.. yet clean and subtle.

I think the STi is extemely well priced.. for one, the HP your getting, plus the outstanding AWD platform and the sleek looks make it one of my other favorite imports.. EVO also.

I think fenders are almost too much CF though. but ive also known a few people to have almost full CF cars... Lambo doors were kinda played out and WAY overpriced but it would look ok on a TC. Gutted interior? why? i mean you loose what 100lbs maybe. Id like to say "ha, i beat you with AC and full interior"

But what do i know about TC's...almost nothing. so maybe it will look good and all. i dont know.

Hey you should come out and do something tonight ;)

You sure you ahve driven one ;) for 19,640 out the door, dont think there are many cars that have that much power, and the warranty for that cost..

Also tc man ;) haha you added me to myspace... You know James over at Pro Motion.... lol...

I dont go out looking for races, it causes you to get labeled, and thats the last thing I need... Even though a vette tried to race me in Edgewater near Annapolis about 3 weeks ago, I just laughed, because at 20 mph roll I doubt he could keep up...

MSRP at what 32k? a little much for a 4 door car IMO. Yea they are fast and all and look good but i would rather buy a cheaper car and mod it so its faster than that.

I love building cars, not buying cars :larry:

500HP from that motor is ambitious. You'll definintely have to step up from bolt on's. But :yay:

Do you have a way to monitor engine parameters and performance other than seat of the pants?

Also, you may want to take a look at adjustable pulleys for the cam shafts and an engine management system (piggyback or complete replacement depending on budget).

There are some outstanding progressive nitrous controllers on the market now. Some people are uncomfortable with nitrous but it's no different than any other power adder, Just start tuning on the conservative side and pay attention to AFR and plug readings.

yea id say 400 would be a VERY nice number for a TC.
Why skimp out, id go full standalone system that does fuel, spark and sensors. im not sure if it would work but look up Megasquirt. nice standalone that wont kill your wallet.
Zex makes some nice nitrous controlers for their kits.

Yeah, I know James.. him and I were going to work together to build up my tC.. since his engine blew in the exact way mine did.. but never got around too it. James is a great guy..

Thats exactly why I bought the tC.. cheap and can be made to make some awesome numbers for its platform.

It is ambitious.. and has already been done with numerous tC's around the US. I also know that bolt-ons are not the only thing that I need to have done, ie. the pistons, sleeves, headwork, piggybacks, etc. I am debating what type of piggyback to use.. although the turbo kit I'm looking at uses the stock ECU.. which has its ups and downs.. I dont want to have to get the thing reflashed everytime I have something added to it.. so thats a con.. plus is that its cheaper than most kits out there because of it. Cams haven't been made yet for the tC.. but believe me.. when they do, my tC WILL have them.. that is going to make my beast come alive for sure. Nitrous is something I was looking into, but I'll wait til I'm boosted first.. I think so far the most any tC has done with stock internals is a 75shot.. I might recall a 100shot that resulted in detonation.. so we'll see.. its a work in progress and I want to do it right.. not rush it.. its a sweet car to check out in person, and I truely believe it actually attracts more attention around here than most other cars. I just need the power to boot..

So far the most competition I've had around here is a few RSX-typeS's.. SE-R Sentra's, and or anything boosted.. which I've seen a few different ones running around.

I'll take 400 too... but I want my tC to be a notch above the vast majority.. it's going to take time.. but once i'm boosted I'll be 3/4 of the way there already.

The average boosted tC now I would say is putting out around 280+ whp off of a t3/t4 hybrid turbo.. the turbo I'm going with, the Garrett GT35 is much more capiable of more power and not to mention that Chris Rado is producing this kit off of his own personal tC.

Stage I = 300whp
Stage II = 400whp
Stage III = 500whp (Internals needed)

TC, I second floyd on the full standalone engine management system.

Megasquirt is a REALLY cool DIY system but ot for the faint of heart. :lmao:

I would suggest an AEM unit or a Gen 7 Acell DFI. I've used both and like them both, with a preference for the AEM unit. You'll want a knowledgeable tuner to get started but after you'll be able to play with everything yourself once you have an initial tune.

SE-R Sentras are fast?
Yea ill see whats going on tonight and give ya a call. PM me your cell and we can set something up.

75 shot would be nice but a direct port would step you up to 175+ easy.

Oh Cmon Megasquirt isnt that bad. just a TON of wires and all.
AEM is nice but not light on the wallet. very nice though...
